'Big Sky' Episode 3 Preview: Is 'shifty' receptionist Denise Ron's sister? Here's why it's possible

It's a web of deceit and corruption, and Denise might just be in on it too or connected to Ronald in some way

The premiere of 'Big Sky' has proved one thing: No one is safe. It isn't a story about a messy love triangle between leads Cody Hoyt (Ryan Phillippe), Cassie Dewell (Kylie Bunbury) and Jenny Hoyt (Katheryn Winnick). Instead, in the premiere itself, we saw Cody Hoyt being shot point-blank by Montana state-trooper Rick Legarski (John Carroll-Lynch) because he had discovered a link between the church-cult and the kidnappings.

Rick shoots him, and with blood sprawled on his face, he calls Ron Pergman and tells him, "You've been sloppy!" Obviously, Rick is with him in his notorious schemes of selling women into sexual slavery. Yet, there is more than meets the eye. It's a web of deceit and corruption, and Cassie's receptionist Denise might just be in on it too or connected to Ronald in some way.

After the previous episode, Rick's ex-wife calls him to ask what shady things he has been up to, as Denise has been asking. Fans came up with numerous theories: For one, Ron could be Rick's son...or secondly, Denise could be Ron's sister? "Wait. If Rick’s ex wife Sally is Ronald’s cousin. & Denise’s cousin used to be married to Rick. Does this mean Denise & Ronald r brother & sister  @BigSkyABC#BigSky," a fan asked. "Denise is in on it too. Mark my words #BigSky #BigSkyABC," a fan had tweeted.

No doubt, there is something shifty about Denise. No one can be trusted on this show. The synopsis for the next episode reads, "Cassie grows more suspicious of Legarski after a threatening conversation between the two; Grace manages to make headway on the girls' quest for freedom; Helen finally confronts Ronald about his increasingly strange behavior."

Cassie knows there's something off about Legarski, considering that Cody was last seen with him. There's a lot to piece together, but Cassie's getting the hang of it, and this might just put her in the firing line as well. Meanwhile, Ron's mother might just become his next victim if she keeps questioning him about his erratic behavior.

'Big Sky' airs on Tuesdays at 10 pm on ABC.
