'My Big Fat Fabulous Life': Will Whitney Way Thore and Buddy Bell's flirtatious exchange lead to something?
From the looks of the trailer of the upcoming episode of 'My Big Fat Fabulous Life' it appears that Whitney Way Thore has finally come to terms with the fact that she must try a different approach to her relationship with Buddy Bell. In a sneak peek of the episode airing on Tuesday (January 26) night, the two are seen going through pictures on Whitney's phone so that she can choose the ones that she can share on the various dating apps that she's trying out in a bid to move on from all the cheating that she endured with ex-fiance Chase Severino.
During the previous episode of 'MBFFL', it was seen that Whitney once again (we have lost count here) brought up the subject of weight loss surgery because people were being nasty to her on dating apps and sending her horrible fatphobic messages. She was slammed by fans on social media for this sob fest and a lot of them thought that she manipulated Buddy Bell into moving in with him with all that crying. The two had an intense argument on this subject a couple of episodes ago.
Buddy wanted to move back to Greensboro now that Whitney was up and running on her feet and was trying to move and collect the pieces of her broken heart. However, Whitney didn't want him to move back and insisted that he move in with her and stay back in Charlotte, North Carolina. Buddy wasn't ready to stay back at any cost but he changed his mind after she told him about her experience in the online dating world. He assured her that he loved her no matter what and that he'd always show up for his friend.
The two have always been too close to each other and while everyone around them sees the chemistry they share, Whitney and Buddy have maintained that they're strictly platonic. They were dating a couple of years ago but they decided they're better off as friends. However, in the upcoming episode, it seems like Whitney is seeing the lines blurring between her friendship with Buddy and there might be a start to a romance over there. While selecting the photos, they land upon one where she's pumping gas and Buddy tells her he'd swipe right on that in a heartbeat. The two then share some flirty banter and it looks like that's the start of something over there and it cannot be ruled out since they are living together officially.
'My Big Fat Fabulous Life' airs Tuesdays at 9 pm ET on TLC.
