Memphis Garrett is under fire from viewers of 'Big Brother' after he used the N-word for David Alexander. This incident took place when he and Cody Calafiore were having a conversation about David. It was within seconds that the video of the incident, that took place off live, started circulating online.

After watching the video, viewers believe that Memphis was about to use the N-word but stopped himself when he realized what he was going to say. Another camera also showed the look that Memphis had right after this incident took place. Looking at that, people were not pleased with how it all went down. This is not the first time that Memphis has come under fire. Previously, he was called out by the cast members for being rude towards David. When Memphis was the Head of Household, he targetted David and was clear that he would have to prove his worth to be on the show.

At the same time, he was under fire for making fun of Ian Terry's autism. Seeing how Memphis has had multiple incidents that are problematic, fans had been vocal about wanting him out of the show. People even started a petition to have him removed.

"There is an URGENT situation of RACIAL HARM and ASSAULT currently developing in the Big Brother House RIGHT NOW. A player (Memphis Garrett of Garrett Hospitality Group in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida) is targeting another player (David Alexander) with VERBAL and PHYSICAL assault," read the petition

Over 2,000 people signed the petition at the time of writing. People also took it to social media asking CBS to get him out of the show. "Memphis Garrett (Who owns restaurants contracted w/ @Marriott) calling David a 'N****r' recoils when realizing he slipped up, given a hand signal from Cody. Couple nights of alcohol & the Racist Slurs can't be tamed. @CBSBigBrother this your show???" read one comment.

"Hold up did Memphis say this and if so where is the cancellation for Memphis???" questioned another. "Production will warn Memphis about what we heard him say and they won’t do anything. He’ll go back in the house, tell Cody, Tyler, Dani, Franzel, and Valentines Day about it and they’ll all say it’s ridiculous and being spun out of proportion. Watch," said another.

"Allowing memphis to stay in the house proves that cbs doesn’t care about any of the minorities in the house. if he stays after all the horrible things he’s said/done on this season it’s drawing a clear picture of what cbs truly feels about these issues," wrote another.

After receiving a lot of backlash from the fans, CBS responded to these allegations by stating that the producers have listened to the scene using enhanced audio. Additionally, the Network’s program practices team isolated and played back the scene several different ways using professional, studio-grade audio equipment. After close examination, it has been determined a racial epithet was not said or uttered." They further added, "Hate speech will not be tolerated, and those who violate the policy will be removed from the Big Brother House," as reported by TMZ.

'Big Brother' Season 22 airs on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 pm ET on CBS.
