'Big Brother' Season 22: How much money do Nicole Franzel, Cody Calafiore and Enzo Palumbo make from the show?

The 16 contestants of 'Big Brother' Season 22 were apparently paid $40,000 just for entering the house, and the winner will bag $500,000 by the end of the show

Surviving the 'Big Brother' house can be tough. It's not just the Head of Household (HOH) or Power of Veto (POV) challenges that make the stay difficult but also the housemates. When you're a part of an alliance and more or less at the centre of it, you can relax if put on the block but if you're position in the house is wobbly, then one runs the risk of being eliminated. In a nutshell, the game is physically and mentally difficult, which explains why the contestants get paid handsomely.

The 16 contestants of 'Big Brother' Season 22, including the three finalists - Nicole Franzel, Cody Calafiore and Enzo Palumbo - were apparently paid $40,000 just for entering the house. Although, none of the housemates have opened up on the amount yet 'Big Brother' Season 15 winner Andy Herren announced on Twitter the kind of money they were making. "Keeping the names to myself because I like these people and I don’t want to hurt their chances of getting on, but I know a few really exciting (and surprising!) names have signed $40k deals and they’re giving me hope that the season isn’t going to be as abysmal as I thought!!!," he posted. Although, there's no way to confirm this but Andy is close to Daniele "Dani" Briones who was a former contest of Season 22.

In other news, the winner bags $500,000 by the end of the show and eventually, on the final day, one of them will go home with $540,000, which is a massive amount. This apart, each contestant are apparently paid weekly stipend as well. But this information too cannot be confirmed because no official sources have announced it yet.

What's interesting to note here is that they are being paid much less than what the 'Celebrity Big Brother' Season 2 contestants made. According to a TMZ report, each of the 12 housemates raked in $100,000. However, the winning amount was half of what the winner of 'Big Brother' Season 22 will walk away with.

Catch the 'Big Brother' Season 22 finale on Thursday, October 29, at 8/7c on CBS. For more information, check your local listings.
