Big Bang Theory season 12 spoilers: Kaley Cuoco posts nostalgic reminder as Penny's story comes to a close
On Monday, September 24, the geek fest will return for its final run with season 12 and returning actors Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik.
One of the longest-running multi-camera series, 'The Big Bang Theory' is nearing its series finale. On Monday, September 24, the geek fest will return for its final run on CBS with season 12 and returning actors Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik, and Melissa Rauch.
And ahead of the much-anticipated season premiere, lead actress Kaley Cuoco has shared a heartwarming photo, summarizing the journey of fan-favorite Penny on the series. "We have come a long way 🤣 from the pilot to tonight’s season 12 premiere," the 32-year-old TV star wrote adding, "don’t miss our beginning of the end! @bigbangtheory_cbs I look exactly the same, right?"
The picture was a collage of sorts, featuring glimpses of Penny from the very first season to the latest one - just the kind that will send fans on a trip down memory lane. After all, it's been a twelve-season-long journey, which is quite a bit in the history of successful sitcoms.
On one hand, the show is preparing the stage for the big conclusion - meaning crucial answers pertaining to the lives of the beloved nerds. Will Sheldon come to terms with Amy's family? Do Penny and Leonard share a pregnancy in the future? What's in store for Raj as he embarks on a quest for love? And most importantly, what is Penny's last name?
These are perhaps some of the most troubling questions that have been keeping fans on their toes for the past 11 seasons. And if the finale series is any good, it should definitely attempt to offer an apt conclusion to the Big Bang storyline.
At least to the part about Penny and Leonard's future. So far, 'The Big Bang Theory' showrunner Steve Holland has remained elusive about these two but going by their more recent interviews, it looks like something remotely resembling a baby news is definitely in the making.
"Leonard and Penny are going to have that discussion. They’re at that point in their marriage where they’re like, 'Are we going to do this or not?'” Holland said.
Sorry Cuoco, looks like, despite all your wishes, Penny might end up being pregnant in season 12. If not during the season, maybe in a flash-forward storyline?
