It has been a while since we last saw Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. Correction! It has been a while since we last saw Walter White and Jesse Pinkman together, as the latter was the lead character in 'El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie.' The Netflix film served as a sequel and epilogue to 'Breaking Bad' and ended with Pinkman moving on to a new life finally free of White's influence.

Neither Vince Gilligan nor Aaron Paul ruled out the possibility of a sequel but both seemed to be of the opinion that the ending was definitive and satisfying. But that doesn't mean we won't see more of the beloved characters as both Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul will be making guest appearances in the final season of 'Better Call Saul.'

'El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie' review: Vince Gilligan's sequel stands apart with a dash of nostalgia and killer suspense

Speaking at the PaleyFest LA moderated by Variety TV editor Michael Schneider, 'Better Call Saul' co-creator Peter Gould confirmed that the meth-cooking duo will return as guests in the final season.

"Are we gonna see Walt and Jesse on the show?’ Instead of evading, I’ll just say yeah,” Gould said. However, he didn't reveal in what capacity they'd be appearing as he didn't "want to spoil things for the audience." "How or the circumstances or anything, you'll just have to discover that for yourself, but I have to say that's one of many things that I think you'll discover this season," he added. Series lead Bob Odenkirk hinted that "there's more," but Gould stopped him from revealing more about the imminent arrival of White and Pinkman.

Several other characters from 'Breaking Bad' have appeared in 'Better Call Saul', namely Hector Salamanca, Don Eladio and the Salamanca twins, Hank Schrader, and Steven Gomez. Odenkirk has also stated earlier that he "personally feels that the two shows are entwined even more than ever in the final season." He also mentioned that Season 6 of 'Better Call Saul' is "gonna make you want to watch 'Breaking Bad' again."

The first part of 'Better Call Saul' Season 6 is slated to premiere in April 2022, with Episode 1 airing on April 18 at 9 pm ET. The second part will release in June.
