The red carpet at BAFTA Television Awards 2019 at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Sunday, May 12 saw a host of celebrity A-listers who stunned in their favorite designers along with some unusual looks.
The looks on the biggest night for British television varied from detailed, over-the-top patterns to simple, refined basics.
Here are our picks for best-dressed celebrities.
Mixing floral prints and a tux to produce a gorgeous androgynous tuxedo-style two-piece, Jennifer Metcalfe pushed style beyond boundaries. The outfit was chic and incredibly playful with the cummerbund and the tie left undone.
Roger Jean Nsengiyumva
Talk about keeping it clean and classy. Roger Jean Nsengiyumva graced the red carpet with a grey checked tuxedo. Pairing it with a black turtleneck, Roger definitely kept us ‘Informed’ of BAFTA standards.
Some may say she was playing it safe, but Lily Travers looked absolutely mesmerizing in the silver halter-neck gown. She definitely gets our ticket.
You don't usually see frills making the cut at BAFTAs, but Lilah Parsons in a frilled floral maxi-dress with a beautiful plunging neckline definitely had heads turning.
Georgia May Foote
Dressed in a strapless navy dress by stalwart eveningwear designer Bruce Oldfield, Georgia May Foote stole hearts and was probably one of the best-dressed stars of the night. She paired the dress with a Dune clutch and silver stilettos, along with earrings by Sarah Zhuang, rings by Sif Jakobs Jewellery and Lara Heems, which finished off the look perfectly.
Tom Read Wilson
Tom Read Wilson absolutely blew us away at the BAFTAs. He wore a suit with peacock feather printed maroon blazer and a matching bow tie. Wilson definitely worked the red carpet.
Wearing a stylish Alessandra Rich creation, Ruth Wilson was one of the best dressed of the night. We love the chic tuxedo style, and that oversized belt is a must-have! Wilson definitely knows how to work the red carpet and she absolutely owned it!
The 50-year-old looked sensational in her red suit by Suzanne Neville. She teamed the ravishing red ensemble with Kurt Geiger shoes, an Aspinal of London bag, and jewelry by Georgina Scott. We got classy, powerful and sexy, all in one. The lady in red wowed us all!
Rochelle Humes showed off a lot of leg at the 2019 TV BAFTAs. The TV star, who was joined by her husband Marvin Humes, opted for a black thigh-high, sheer YSL. Usually, she is styled by Angie Smith, but this time she opted for fashion stylist Georgia. You could say that Humes was a ‘sheer’ pleasure to look at.
Billie Piper was every inch the leading lady as she turned heads in a black one-shouldered blazer-style floor-length number which featured a daring thigh-high split.
