'Below Deck': What is Natasha De Bourg's ethnicity? Fans slam crew for not believing 'Black chick is a chef'

Daisy Kelliher and Dani Soares both asked Natasha if she was a stewardess. Fans are certain she 'might lose her shit if she gets mistaken for a stew again'

Naturally, 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Season 2 started off on an introductory note. The crew walked in and familiarized themselves with the Parsifal III. They were also assigned cabins. Chef Natasha De Bourg and stewardess Daisy Kelliher will be sharing one. Will it be smooth-sailing? Let's hope so unless, of course, Natasha decides to give Daisy grief about the latter not knowing she was the chef.

Dani Soares too made the same mistake. She thought Natasha was part of the interior team. Although the chef remained calm because they were just getting to know one another, fans have a different opinion on the matter altogether, which we'll explore shortly.

Natasha is from Trinidad and Tobago but her ethnicity is not known yet. Her Bravo bio reads that she escaped a difficult childhood and troubled marriage to pursue her passion — cooking. In her confessional, the chef admitted that she has only one skill and that she's very passionate about it. She was an executive chef employed at a restaurant in France before she took the leap of faith and decided to join the yachting industry.

Will this serve her well? We are hoping it will, given how invested she is in her craft. But from what we have seen in the previews and trailers so far, Natasha will butt heads with Daisy along the way and that is not surprising, given the stressful environment they all work out of.

"Black woman must be a deckhand... huh? Couldn’t believe her when she said she was the chef the first time. Huh? Hmmm... the microaggressions #BelowDeckSailing," a fan commented while another shared: "They can't believe the Black chick is a chef. #BelowDeckSailing."

"Is the chef a Black Woman?! I need confirmation. I don’t want to get excited prematurely. #BelowDeckSailing," a user pointed out. "A trini chef i know her food about to be delicious #BelowDeckSailing," another posted. "I think Natasha might lose her shit if she gets mistaken for a stew again #BelowDeckSailing," a viewer expressed.
