'Below Deck Mediterranean': Sandy could fire Jessica, fans think Bugsy would be treated better if she was hurt
Jessica More broke her finger last week and had to get it checked by a doctor who got the fractured finger in a cast and since then it has been difficult for the stew to work comfortably around the yacht. This has made 'Below Deck Mediterranean' incredibly interesting as this is the second time that a crew member is running the risk of being fired. Obviously, Pete Hunziker was the first.
Despite the injury, More has been working and making doubly sure that the charter guests' demands don't suffer. She even unpacked luggage bags, vacuum cleaned and blitzed juices using just her right hand. In her greenroom interview, More doesn't seem too worked up about the fractured finger but she does realize that at one point it will affect her flow of life and work.
Already, More's colleagues have stepped in to help her wear clothes and apply deodorant. It's only a matter of time before they decide to let her go and that is clearly what is being discussed in the preview clip.
Captain Sandy Yawn inquires about More's performance from Hannah Ferrier and asks her to take necessary steps if she thinks her team needs someone new. Ferrier is at a fix. She has bonded well with More and with her gone, it might be difficult to achieve a smooth working relationship with Christine 'Bugsy' Drake because of their bitter history.
Meanwhile, fans think Capt Yawn is not being fair by implying that More should be taken off the yacht. Some even think that if Drake had injured her finger it would have been met with a different treatment, a better one. "The last season a deckhand hurt his knee. Capt Lee never threatened to fire him. I can't believe Sandy's reaction on Jessica fracturing her finger #BelowDeckMed," a fan commented. "If it was bugs that did this to her finger and not Jess, sandy would have found a cadaver hand, and had them do a finger transplant. #BelowDeckMed #BelowDeckMediterranean," another expressed to which a fan responded: "So true."
This aside, the show is also tackling Pete Hunziker's untoward behavior. He made a few inappropriate comments that were laden with sexual innuendos, which Bugsy thought needed to be brought to Sandy's attention. Following this, Sandy made it clear that his behavior was unacceptable and implied that he needed to get it together if he wishes to stay the season. Pete readily obliged and told his peer, Alex Radcliffe, that everyone will now get to see the "professional Pete."
