‘Below Deck’: Charted guest Brandi gets 'wasted' and fans are furious that her 'friends' did nothing to help her
By now we have gotten used to seeing some really strange guests onboard the deck during the charter season. This time around, one of the guests, Brandi, got on board the luxury yacht ‘Valor’ in a very intoxicated state. Brandi was accompanying her friends- Helen and Richard, the primary guests. As soon as she stepped on the yacht, Captain Lee noticed that the young woman was “totally wasted”. We saw her lie down on the couch while hyperventilating.
Brandi’s health only kept getting worse as she kept going in and out of consciousness. For the most part of her stay on board the luxury yacht, she was either asleep or if she was awake she was downing bottom-less glasses of mimosas and hyperventilating.
What really concerned the viewers was that none of her so-called friends even paid any attention to her. They were all busy enjoying their time on the yacht and exploring the sunny beaches of Thailand. Towards the end of the episode, we say Brandi needing medical attention after completely zoning out and hyperventilating. Tanner, the new deckhand immediately takes responsibility for her using his previous lifeguard experience and did everything he could to ensure that she was fine.
Needless to say, fans were very concerned for Brandi’s health and slammed her “friends” for not being there for her. A fan tweeted, “Are These Guests Going To Acknowledge The Fact That Their Friend Brandy Is Ill? Help Your Friend #BelowDeck”. Another angry fan wrote, “Brandy’s friends are mean. They like make jokes about leaving her as if her self esteem doesn’t already suck judging by all that drinking. #BelowDeck”. “Hope Brandy is ok. That is scary! It's sad that her friends were not concerned for her. It was nice to see Tanner step up and take initiative in making sure she was ok. #BelowDeck”, expressed a fan.
Many fans expressed their concern for the guest’s health and are curious to know if she’s alright now. A fan wrote, “Does Brandy have a Twitter acc’t I can check out, just to make sure she’s alive? #BelowDeck”. Another curious fan shared, “What is she on? I haven’t seen Brandi eat with the guests once. I’m sure the crew is bringing food to her cabin, but mimosas don’t count for anything food wise. This chick is a wreck. Is it pills or what? I wish we knew more. #BelowDeck”.
A little digging on the internet revealed that Brandy is Brandy Bock-Tott, an artist and designer who runs the Bock-Tott gallery. According to the gallery’s website, Brandy is an alumni of the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University. The artist took to her Instagram to share a post explaining her side of the story. She wrote that she suffered from anxiety and had panic attacks while aboard the yacht. But she apparently had a great time and shared some beautiful snaps from her vacation in Thailand.
