'Batwoman': First look at Ruby Rose in supersuit for The CW Arrowverse crossover is here
Rose is expected to make her debut in the role of the extremely popular Gotham City hero in this year's upcoming three-night Arrowverse crossover, titled "Elseworlds"
It's a jubilant day for Batwoman fans because this just in: The CW has now unveiled its first look at the ever so highly anticipated appearance of Ruby Rose sporting the Colleen Atwood-designed Batwoman super suit. And if you thought that was exciting, get this: This super suit - well, the whole aura about her - looks every bit as iconic and accurate as presented in the comic books, all geared up with the Bat-symbol and the cape. The best part? Kate Kane's signature, long flowing, flaming red hair is present too!
Rose is expected to make her debut in the role of the extremely popular Gotham City hero in this year's upcoming three-night Arrowverse crossover, titled "Elseworlds," which is going to showcase Arrow, The Flash, and of course, Supergirl. Word is also around that if things go great, Rose could also headline her own series, considering the network is developing its own standalone series around the character too.

What's even more striking about this particular character is that, when it first debuted back in 2006, she gained massive fame and popularity as she was the first openly gay character in the DC Comics franchise. And if things go according to plan - that is the show gets picked up for a series - Rose herself could acquire the same fame and title for playing the lead on the first TV series focused on an LGBTQ superhero.
There hasn't been much revealed about the series so far, but there are, of course, certain things that we do know for sure. There will be Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), and the Flash (Grant Gustin) marching to Gotham City as one Dr. John Deegan has stirred up some crazy machinations. Deegan is expected to be a possibly insane Arkham Asylum doctor, and playing the character will be Lost‘s Jeremy Davies.

In addition to that, the epic crossover will also introduce the character of the Monitor - played by Designated Survivor‘s LaMonica Garrett. Monitor is a DC Comics character of multiversal importance, and she will be joined by Lois Lane (Grimm‘s Elizabeth Tulloch), and Nora Fries (Cassandra Jean Amell), along with Tyler Hoechlin who will be back to reprise his role as Superman.
While production on the crossover will begin Tuesday in Vancouver, 'Elseworlds' will begin December 9 as an episode of 'The Flash', at 8 pm, continue the next day (December 10) as an 'Arrow' episode at 8 pm again, and finally conclude with Supergirl the following night (December 11) at the same time again.
