'The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart' brings in 21-year-old Jamie, outraged fans say she's too young
A 21-year-old looking for love? Fans are mad at the showrunners for casting a young contestant, pointing out they aren't comfortable. We've seen 'The Bachelor', 'The Bachelorette', 'Bachelor in Paradise' and that didn't seem enough for the Bachelor franchise. The series premiered with its new spin-off show, 'The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart', on Monday night.
The new series is more 'A Star Is Born' meets 'The Bachelor'. So what is 'The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart'? The series revolves around 20 single men and women who begin a new journey to find true love through music. Over the course of six episodes, we will witness these singles pair up, perform both individually and as a couple. At the end of six weeks, there will be only one couple who ultimately remains on 'The Bachelor' stage.
The first contestant we were introduced to was Jamie Gabrielle, a 21-year-old hostess, who revealed every guy she dated has cheated on her. Her dream is to have Mr Perfect write a love song for her. During her confessional, she revealed that "dating has been kind of dismal." Jamie also shared that music is her love language. Arriving at 'The Bachelor' mansion, Jamie already has her eyes set on one guy, Ryan, but she shared that she isn't here for the drama.
The Bachelor franchise is known for casting young contestants on the show, but we haven't met someone who has just turned 21. This comes as a shock to fans who claim that Hannah Ann was at least 23-years-old when she appeared in 'The Bachelor' Season 24 looking for love.

Adding to that another fan said, "We are half an hour in and I’ve already seen enough of Jaime. We get it, you‘be been waiting for this moment FOREVER (all 21 years of your life) #TheBachelorLTYH."

Another fan wrote, "This editing is not sly AT ALL. Producers have already given Jamie 90% of screen time, we can all expect to see her at the end #TheBachelorLTYH."
