'Bachelor in Paradise' season 6: Is Clay still hung up on Angela even though he claims to be in love with Nicole?

Next week's preview reveals Nicole asking Clay if he really loves her, and he looks like a massive bomb has been dropped on him. He looked conflicted.

What is 'Bachelor in Paradise' without love triangles, drama, and exes? And this season 6 we have seen more of the mentioned than we expected to. 

It is no doubt that Clay Harbor and Nicole Lopez-Alvar were deemed a couple since the beginning of paradise this season. They hit it off from the second Clay entered the beach and took Nicole on a date. Though for a brief amount of time, Nicole was stuck in a love quadrilateral with Clay, Christian Estrada, and Jordan Kimball, she ended up going back to Clay, after Christian and Jordan were sent away from paradise due to violence. 

And while things were good between the couple,  Chris Randone (Goose) and Krystal Neilson's wedding happened. During the wedding, Clay met his ex, Angela Amezcua, who he dated for eight months and then dumped her because he didn't feel like she was his person. Things took a massive turn after Clay met Angela, the two had a chat during the after-party and though it seemed like Angela was over him, he clearly looked hung up on her and couldn't stop talking about her. 

Though we thought that there's not going to be any more Angela drama after the wedding, the very next day she entered paradise. From the second she entered paradise, Clay couldn't stop talking about her. But that was not the first red flag he portrayed about still being hung up over Angela. The first red flag was when Tayshia Adams noticed that Clay didn't tell Angela that he was dating Nicole. Nicole had to reveal the news to Angela after she entered paradise. Though Angela entered paradise, she claimed she wasn't here for Clay and is here to start afresh and find love. During Tuesday night's episode, we see that Clay and Angela finally have another talk to sort things out between the duo. After the talk with Angela, Clay revealed he is finally ready to move on, now that he has cleared things with Angela, and that he loves Nicole. 

But is Clay really ready to move on from Angela even though he claims to be in love with Nicole? He claims to not have any romantic feelings for Angela, but he can't bear to see his ex go out on dates with his friends, while he still is with Nicole. Double standards much? 

Next week's preview reveals Nicole asking Clay if he really loves her, and he looks like a massive bomb has been dropped on him. He looked conflicted. He clearly still does have feelings for Angela, and that comes without a doubt. Even when he is with Nicole, he can't help but look or think about Angela, and his camera interviews say it all.  This side of Clay didn't go unnoticed by fans who also claim that Clay is still very much into Angela, and given the chance would get back with her. 

"Clay, the only thing I’m seeing is that you’re not over Angela. Plain and simple  #BachelorInParadise," wrote a fan on Twitter. Another fan said, "Real take- Clay being weird about Angela dating other guys is a strange. Like it’s only awkward if you make it awkward. And if you feel weird about your ex dating, you still have feelings for em. Sorry I don’t make the rules #BachelorInParadise." Another fan wrote, "The fact that when Clay pulled Angela aside he only talked about their relationship and not about his feelings about her being there and setting healthy boundaries with each other during this time shows he’s EXTREMELY not over her #bachelorinparadise."
