Plot
According to HBO, 'Avenue 5' starts with a malfunction on spaceship Avenue 5. "As the series begins, Avenue 5’s eight-week journey around Saturn is underway and its systems are optimal. But when the ship suddenly encounters technical difficulties, it’s up to Ryan and his crew to calm the disgruntled passengers and find a way to deal with unexpected events onboard – though they may or may not be equipped for the task."

Hugh Laurie
Actor Hugh Laurie plays Ryan Clark in the show. He is the captain of “Avenue 5,” a space cruise ship with luxury amenities that is on an eight-week journey around Saturn.
Josh Gad
Actor Josh Gad plays the role of Herman Judd who owns the luxury space ship Avenue 5 on which the action takes place.
Zach Woods
Actor Zach Woods plays Matt Spencer - the customer relations specialist on the ship. When a technical error occurs on the ship, he is one of the employees who is expected to calm and reassure the rich customers on the spaceship.

Actor Rebecca Font plays the role of one of the passengers on Avenue 5, Karen Kelly.

Trailers
The official trailer of 'Avenue 5' was released on December 8. In the trailer, we see the passengers on Avenue 5 panic after a technical glitch which displaces them. Laurie as Ryan Clark tries to calm the guests down while the owner of the space ship, Herman Judd, also present in the spaceship leaves his employees to deal with the customers who are angry about their trip around Saturn going for a toss.
