Ateez 'The World EP 1 Movement' album at No 3 on Billboard 200 chart, fans say 'you did it'

Ateez's eighth mini album 'The World EP 1: Movement' has made the boy group the fourth K-pop group to enter the Billboard 200 chart's Top 3

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: From selling out stadiums in seconds to recording one million plus album sales with their most recent album, the eight makes one team. Ateez's 2022 comeback album, 'The World EP 1: Movement' is not only a hit amongst fans but is also making it to the top of International Billboard charts proving the slow and steady rise of Ateez in the global market.

On August 7, it was announced that Ateez has now successfully entered the Top 3 of Billboard's main album chart, 'Billboard 200', with their eighth mini-album, 'The World EP 1: Movement'. In their online chart preview article, Billboard reported that Ateez had made its entry into the Top 10 positions on the chart for the first time, ranking at Number 3 with their 'guerrilla' promoted album, 'The World EP 1: Movement' which was released on July 29 this year.

Ateez enters Billboard 200 at Number 3

This is Ateez's highest ranked album after their 2021 release, 'Zero: Fever Part 3', which ranked No 49 on the same chart. It has been reported that Ateez has sold 50,000 copies of 'The World EP 1: Movement' in the US alone which is the reason behind the boy group's jump to the Top 3 of the main Billboard Chart. Owing to Ateez's recent popularity in the west, their eighth mini-album has sold more than 900,000 copies worldwide in its first week of release whereas the lead single from the album, 'Guerrilla' ranked at No 1 on iTunes Top Songs Charts in more than 28 countries while bagging three music show wins for the boy group.

The report narrated that Billboard calculates the music consumption ranking by summing the sales of traditional albums such as physical albums, the number of streaming to album sales (SEA), and the number of digital music downloads converted to album sales (TEA). With this, Ateez has now become the fourth K-pop group to enter the 'Billboard 200' chart in the Top 3 following Big Hit Music's BTS, SM Entertainment's Super M, and NCT127 and JYP Entertainment's Stray Kids whereas the album, 'The World EP 1: Movement' is the fifth K-pop album to enter the chart in the Top 3 position.
