'Arrow' Season 8: Zoe Ramirez may not survive the season as her character doesn't really have much to offer the 2040 team

While Joseph David-Jones's Connor Hawke has had some very emotional moments and William is adorably fun, the rest of the future Team Arrow hasn't really been doing much other than standing around and looking cool and this is especially obvious in Zoe's case.

'Arrow' Season 8's flashforward sequences have been somewhat of a mixed bag. While Joseph David-Jones's Connor Hawke has had some very emotional moments and William Clayton (Ben Lewis) is adorably fun, the rest of the future Team Arrow hasn't really been doing much other than standing around and looking cool.

We do know that Mia Smoak (Katherine McNamara) will have a major role to play in the upcoming spinoff series 'Green Arrow and the Canaries' but that leaves Zoe Ramirez (Andrea Sixtos) as the weakest link. In fact, we wouldn't be too surprised if she was killed off by the end of Season 8 because ultimately, she is yet to really prove her worth to the team.

In Season 8's first episode, Zoe's most important contribution was telling off Mia for not working with the team, which isn't some unique position that only she could fill. Things started to look up for her in Episode 2 when she revealed that she knows where the Deathstroke Gang might be found but since it was soon revealed that she and the team were just being played by John "JJ" Diggle Jr (Charlie Barnett). Even that achievement, if it can even be called that, immediately lost value.

Right now, the team desperately needs a push to bring them all together and Zoe's death could provide the necessary amount of tragedy to forge them into a strong fighting unit. It might seem a bit harsh but the way things are going right now it doesn't seem like Zoe has much to offer the team and perhaps in death at least she could become the hero her city needs.

The cast for ‘Arrow’ Season 8 includes Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance, Joseph David-Jones as Connor Hawke, Katherine McNamara as Mia Smoak, Ben Lewis as William Clayton, Andrea Sixtos as Zoe Ramirez, and Charlie Barnett as John Diggle Jr.

'Arrow' Season 8 Episode 3 'Leap of Faith' will air on The CW on October 29.
