Are Trent Toney and Faith together now? 'AGT' contestant slammed for 'pressurizing' ex-wife on national TV
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It is said that true love stories always get an encore. But, did that happen with 'America's Got Talent' Season 18 contestant Trent Toney? The Oregon firefighter sang the original ballad 'Always and Lately,' dedicating the song to his ex-wife Faith. He also confessed in the show that even though they have parted ways, he still is in love with her.
Trent said, "I'm still in love with her." Due to this, Heidi Klum, the judge, called Faith and kept the phone on the table so she could hear his performance. Trent sang a touching song for Faith, and she seemed to enjoy it and even shed a tear or two. Fans began to question if the separated couple was able to reconcile after the episode because of this.

Are Trent Toney and Faith together now?
It doesn't seem like it! Trent does not follow Faith on Instagram and neither does he have any picture of them together. It indeed hints that they might have not got back together after 'AGT' Season 18's audition round. After Trent's performance, a message flashed with the picture of Trent and Faith's selfie. The message read, "Faith enjoyed Trent's song... but they are still not together."
Trent confessed on the show, "I used to be married." When asked by Sofia Vergara "did you do something bad?" Trent replied, "I think we were immature, I think we both made a lot of mistakes and I think getting married to her was one of them." However, the contestant confessed to having the urge of wanting his ex-wife back.

Seeing Trent confess his love for his ex-wife and gaining all the pity and swiping away 4 yeses made a fan tweet, "This was the most manipulative thing I have seen on one of these shows. Another slammed Trent, "How are people going to criticize the girl? We don’t know this guy. There’s a reason they aren’t together. Maybe he’s a great guy! But all we know is he’s a cute firefighter that can sing and write. He could be an absolute j**k! We don’t know." Furthermore, a fan doubted Trent's story, saying, "I wonder if both Trent and Faith were okay with the photo being on TV or it was just Trent."

A few fans took to the Reddit thread to slam Trent's sob story. One wrote, "Dude. I'm sure she had her reasons for dumping him." Another joked, "Joked with my fiance it will be a "sorry I cheated" song." "Wouldn’t make sense if he says he still loves her but that would be hilarious nonetheless," commented another.
