Are Mercedes and Jordon still together? Fans slam 'Bachelor In Paradise' Season 9 finalist for sabotaging Rachel Recchia's connection
SAYULITA, MEXICO: Mercedes Northup and Jordan Vandergriff became a couple before the Season 9 finale of 'Bachelor In Paradise.' However, the pair decided to go their separate ways just prior to the final rose ceremony.
Mercedes revealed that she didn't feel the spark with Jordan and shockingly quit the ABC show leaving Jordan devastated.
However, before the finale, Mercedes was involved with Tyler Norris but broke up with him due to his lack of commitment to their relationship.
The breakup led Tyler to voluntarily leave. Simultaneously, Jordan ended his relationship with Rachel Recchia to pursue a connection with Mercedes.
After the split, Rachel self-eliminated herself. The viewers slammed Mercedes for sabotaging the potential relationship between Jordan and Rachel.
A furious viewer tweeted, "Mercedes got me heated choosing Jordan only to say it can't work out making them leave when Rachel and Jordan would’ve worked out and stayed or even left together."
Another person added, "Mercedes gave Jordan her rose for nothing. like he and Rachel could’ve been something."
A critic noted, "Mercedes giving Jordan her rose when she knew damn well she didn’t like him really sabotaged his & Rachel’s connection."
Another X user said, "So you took a rose away from the bachelorette for nothing😭 Mercedes cmon girl…"
One more internet user penned, "Mercedes didn’t feel a spark with Jordan but still felt the need to steal him from Rachel."
A social media user wrote, "Maybe Mercedes, you should have just gone home last week so Rachel could pick Jordan, but being desperate to stay only hurt you and more importantly Rachel."

Jordan Vandergriff ditches Rachel Recchia during the rose ceremony
Jordan Vandergriff and Rachel Recchia went on a fun date that left the viewers wondering if she would give him her rose at the next rose ceremony.
However, after their fun and romantic date, Rachel assured Jordan that there was no one else she'd rather give her rose to.
Shortly after, when another contestant asked Jordan to tell them how he was feeling about Rachel, he shared, "We're great friends, but is the romantic side for me there?"
He went on to add that he didn’t know if he could get the romantic feelings he once had for her back. However, during the rose ceremony, Jordan ditches Rachel and coupled up with Mercedes Northup.
Why did Mercedes Northup split with Tyler Norris?
'Bachelor In Paradise' Season 9 star Mercedes Northup seemingly had a strong connection with Tyler Norris. However, Tyler didn't have similar feelings.
In the previous episode, Mercedes admitted that she wanted a relationship, to get married and start a family. However, when she confronted Tyler about their future together, he backed out.
Mercedes revealed that she got to know that a long-distance relationship outside of Mexico played a factor in why he didn't want to get serious about her. Tyler admitted and noted that it was definitely something he was scared of for sure.
'Bachelor In Paradise' Season 9 is available to watch on ABC and Hulu.
