‘RHOBH’ Reunion Part 2 Preview: Kyle Richards breaks silence on where things stand with Mauricio Umansky
The latest preview for Part 2 of ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Season 15 reunion is stirring fresh conversation, especially about where Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky stand today. It has been well over two years since the couple publicly confirmed they were going their separate ways, yet they have not yet filed for divorce. The tension around that “in between” status becomes clear in the newly released footage, which aired ahead of the reunion episode set for Thursday, April 30, at 8/7c on Bravo. During the sit-down, Dorit Kemsley puts Kyle on the spot with a question that has probably already crossed viewers’ minds: “Do you think you’re waiting for him? Waiting for him to come back?”
Kyle doesn’t sugarcoat her answer, but she doesn’t give a clear explanation either. “No,” she says. “I think it’s still — I think it’s just not knowing what you want.” In fact, Kyle admits that parts of their current arrangement actually work for her. She describes how they still spend time together as a family, even traveling to places like Colorado. “I like the way it is, and that we can have dinner. You know, he goes to his room, I go to my room. [We] wake up and have coffee in the morning, talk about what we’re going to do. We go skiing,” she says. When reunion host Andy Cohen asks whether she believes those shared family moments would continue if things officially end, she responds, “No.”
She then opens up about what really worries her. “It would change. And it would be scary if it changed for me.” The conversation soon turns to finances. Andy brings up a viewer's question, asking, “Kyle, when or if you file for divorce, will you be asking for half of The Agency?” For context, Mauricio founded The Agency back in 2011 after leaving Hilton & Hyland, the firm run by his brother-in-law Rick Hilton. What started as a bold career move turned into a hugely successful real estate brand. Kyle doesn’t hesitate when answering the question, noting, “Well, it’s mine... half of it’s mine.”
When her sister Kathy Hilton asks if Mauricio fully understands that, Kyle replies, “Well, we built our lives together. He literally had two nickels when we married.” She goes on to explain that there was no safety net in place when they first tied the knot. Kyle admits, “Obviously, there’s no prenup. We didn’t have anything. We were in a two-bedroom apartment.” Earlier in the season, Kyle hinted that she came close to making a final decision. During a trip, she mentioned that she briefly felt ready to file for divorce. “When I was in Aspen recently, I felt a little bit invisible. And then I’m like, ‘Okay. It’s time’,” she shared at the time. But once she returned home, her perspective changed again. In her words, “But then I come back, and I’m like, ‘It’s just easier like this.’ You know, we’re good friends, and I know that he loves me. We get along.”
