Andy Cohen reveals who helped uncover source of 'Summer House' reunion leak and it's not who you think
After the much-awaited ‘Summer House’ Season 10 reunion was filmed, things took a shocking turn. A leaked audio from the reunion featuring Ciara Miller confronting Amanda Batula about her relationship with West Wilson began circulating on social media. Andy Cohen, who hosted the reunion, spoke up about the unfortunate incident and expressed how he felt during the April 27 episode of 'Radio Andy.' He also revealed that a fan helped the team solve the case. Recalling the filming of the reunion, Andy said, “Thursday was the Summer House reunion, and I have to say, it was truly not only one of the most emotional reunions that we’ve ever shot, but it was one of the most emotionally draining (reunions).” He added that there were “so many emotions on that stage. Deep anger, deep hurt…”
The Bravo host noted that filming began at around 10:30 a.m. and wrapped up around 8 p.m., with an hour-long break for lunch. “The thing about it is that this situation has truly sent shockwaves through this group. And I know that’s like a Chris Harrison kind of ‘most dramatic rose ceremony ever’ statement. But it really has caused shockwaves through the group in ways that even I didn’t realize until I sat there looking in the faces (of the cast members) and hearing from some of these housemates,” shared Andy. He added that the reunion was "very intense" and he needed to "de-stress." He had eye surgery planned for Friday morning and had to be there at 6:45 a.m. “So, Thursday night, I had a cocktail. I went to bed early…But I was buzzing all night from this reunion. I was like, “It’s…my body was so unsettled,” recalled Andy.
The next morning, after waking up at around 5:50 a.m., he went online and learned about the ‘Summer House’ reunion audio leak. “And when I tell you that I was mad…I felt…it felt like a violation,” shared Andy. He recalled how the cast members “laid themselves totally barren,” and felt that the leak "demeans the work of the crew and cast." By the time he reached his eye appointment, he was in a foul mood. Andy also recalled netizens' “hot takes” online as several individuals blamed the cast for the audio leak.
However, Andy immediately knew that neither the cast nor Bravo leaked it. “I was like, ‘No, this is stupid.’ And I love this cast,” mentioned Andy. Further, Andy admitted to having felt “bad” as the cast members felt the need to come out and say, "I didn’t do it. I didn’t leak it." Bravo launched an investigation soon after the audio leaked and concluded that none of the cast members were responsible for it. They added that the audio was "distributed by an individual involved in the production of the reunion" and that "appropriate action" has been taken. However, the host noted that it was, in fact, a fan who helped the team crack the case. "Though this team of investigators were on it, a Bravo fan who you're going to
hear more about cracked the case," he said. The ‘Summer House’ Season 10 reunion is scheduled to be released on May 26 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
