Andrew Glennon slams 'Teen Mom' for ex-girlfriend Amber Portwood's 'redemption' storyline, says they 'support domestic violence'

Amber Portwood was arrested on domestic violence charges and Andrew Glennon is not happy with the 'Teen Mom' show as he believes they are promoting a redemption storyline for his former girlfriend

Andrew Glennon is not happy with 'Teen Mom' and everyone who is associated with the show after he realized that the series might be airing an episode that focuses on Amber Portwood's "redemption" storyline.

The reality star was arrested after she was accused of domestic violence. Taking to his Instagram stories, Glennon criticized all the sponsors for the show. This included brands like Taco Bell, Target, Maybelline, Amazon, and others.

"These corporations apparently are in full support of domestic violence in the presence of a minor. Silence speaks volumes," he said, according to a report by Yahoo Entertainment

Glennon also hinted that he was not happy with the producers of the show after he found out that they had approved the redemption story. He even listed out things that the episode would cover.

He stated that the redemption story will include  "not hitting those who love you... not using drugs daily... loving and respecting children, as well as, ending all psychological abuse."

He added, "Is it morally sound and socially acceptable to capitalize on domestic violence and spousal abuse? If so, where is the line? Is there a line? What message is that to our children?"

Glennon also remarked that "the silent witnesses are just as guilty as the perpetrators." After his rant about the show, Glennon updated fans about how their son, James was doing.

"In other news, James has blossomed into the most loving and outgoing little man. At the park now and the amount he has progressed is not easily put into words. Exponentially brilliant," he said.

The news of domestic abuse came to light after the Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) was called to Portwood and Glennon's residence. Portwood was taken into custody soon after.

"Just after 3 am on July 5, officers were called to [the address] reference a disturbance. Officers spoke to the male victim who stated his live-in-girlfriend and he were having a disagreement," the IMPD said in a statement obtained by Deadline.

"During which time the female, later identified as Amber Portwood assaulted him, while he was holding their one-year-old child." Amber is set to appear in court on Halloween and face domestic violence charges.
