'And Just Like That': 'SATC' fans keen to see how Kim Cattrall's Samantha exits show
'And Just Like That' is a few hours from premiering on HBO Max and fans cannot wait for the much-anticipated show of the year to drop. The series is a revival of the hit series, 'Sex and The City' (SATC) that ran on HBO from 1998-2004 and starred Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis in key roles. The dramedy series was based on Candace Bushnell's '97 book of the same name and was created by Darren Star for the network.
Set and filmed in the classy New York City, the series followed the lives of four women—three in their mid-thirties and one in her forties—who, despite their own outlook on life and ever-changing sex lives, remain inseparable. The show was nominated in the Emmys 54 times winning seven. It also bagged eight of its 24 Golden Globe Award nominations and three of its 11 Screen Actors Guild Award nominations. The latest reboot will see the actors including Parker reprise their roles, except for Cattrall who is not appearing on the show.
