'America's Got Talent' slammed for promoting 'public nudity' in front of children in live audience
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA: 'America's Got Talent' has been chastised for putting an obscene performance on the show, despite the fact that children were in the audience. Les Beaux Freres, a French-Canadian pair, surprised the judges by performing on stage while wearing only towels.
The 18th season of 'AGT' will premiere on May 30. Terry Crews will return as host, and the judges will be Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel. Sofia was previously left out of the last 'All-Star' Season, leading many to believe she would not return for the regular program. Season 18 will air on NBC at 8/7c and will be available to stream on Peacock. The program is pitching this season as a summer blockbuster. Before the season's debut on Tuesday, May 30, 'AGT' released videos of previous performers. The first performer was Les Beaux Freres, who debuted on the show in 2021. They entered the stage completely clad to announce themselves. When the duo returned to the stage, they were nude and standing behind towels.
The judges laughed when Les Beaux Freres danced and did feats with the towels. At the conclusion, one of the men took the other's towel and raced off the stage, leaving the man who was left on stage to fold over and cover his nakedness. The guy was ultimately given a tiny towel and escorted off the stage. The judges thought the act was hilarious, but the viewers thought it was improper.
