'American Idol' returned for Episode 11 of Season 18 on Sunday night. While usually at this time the series would be neck-deep into its competition right now, the production has come to a standstill because of the current coronavirus pandemic.

This week and the next 'American Idol' episode will feature unseen footage of the Top 20 contestants until the producers figure out a creative way to get done with the rest of the season.

The series kickstarted its episode with unseen footage of Lauren Spencer-Smith, whose voice has fans affirming she has what it takes to win the competition.

Lauren, who hails from Vancouver, Canada, has been singing since she could talk. The 16-year-old contestant who made it to the Top 20, in the unseen footage, revealed she performed judge Katy Perry's 2010 hit song 'Firework' at her school talent show.

Last year, prior to her appearance on 'American Idol', Lauren's video of her singing Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's 'A Star Is Born' hit 'Always Remember Us This Way' in the car with her father went viral.

On Facebook alone, the video crossed over 19 million views. This caught the attention of Steve Harvey who also invited Lauren to perform on his show.

Though for her audition Lauren performed 'What About Us' by Pink, tonight the series released unseen footage of Lauren performing the same song, 'Always Remember Us This Way' for the judges during her audition. Even though the clip ended before the judges could say anything, they were definitely impressed by her performance.

At the age of 16, Lauren has already managed to gain around 1.4 streams on Spotify. The day her audition aired on ABC, Lauren also released a new single titled 'Crazy'. Lauren sure has what it takes to win this season with her effortless singing, high vibrato and the beautiful edge to her voice.

Taking to Twitter after seeing the singer's unseen footage, fans were seen saying she has a strong voice and she might win this season. "Lauren's voice is spot on! She could totally own the competition. #AmericanIdol," a fan wrote.

"I predict Lauren Spencer Smith will be top 3. #AmericanIdol She's the closest to a ringer this season. With all those youtube views, how can a record company NOT sign her," a fan shared while another added, "Lauren Spencer-Smith has such an amazing voice. #AmericanIdol."

"Lauren has a really strong voice!! #AmericanIdol," a fan said. Another shared, "This is one of the best performances that puts Lauren into the top 21 #AmericanIdol." A fan wrote, "Lauren has such a strong voice! Loved seeing her unseen performance tonight. #AmericanIdol."
