March 26 auditions saw new faces as the last batch of skilled artists tried to impress the judges and one of them was Elise Kristen. The TikTok sensation has impressed the judges with her vocal powerless and Katy Perry has dubbed her the 'mighty mouse', a nickname befitting her as she is tiny but has a powerful and rich voice.

Katy Perry calls Elise Kristen 'the next big thing'
For her 'American idol' auditions Elise choose to sing Aretha Franklin's '(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman', and it was a really impressive rendition of the song. But what shocked everyone was the fact that Elise hasn't sung since she was 3 years old. The judges were really amazed by Elise's talent and vocal range. Katy believes Elise is the "next big thing" in the musical industry and has great potential. Elise received three yeses and is going to Hollywood.

'Enough with this' Elise Kristen fails to win over the fans
While Elise dazzled the judges with her impressive performance, she failed to gain the fan's favor. The fans do not agree with Katy's assessment of Elise and have found her lacking as they think her voice is shaky and her delivery could be better. They have expressed their views clearly as one fan commented, "Meh. Kinda derivative." Another one said, "Her voice is very good but she's shaky and she's gotta learn to loosen that up a lot. But I hope she gets through n can get better." One more added, " Enough with this song."
Fans of the show were unimpressed with Elise's pitchy delivery and some didn't like her song choice as one user commented, "Enough with this song in reality shows." Another added, "Nasal much?" One more said, "this is one of the worst seasons of the idol in a while. they all sound the same or are doing some weird broadway show tunes act lol."
