AMAs 2019: Toni Braxton makes comeback 25 years after she won her first award and fans call her performance legendary

Tonight's performance by Toni Braxton at the 2019 AMAs, marks her return to award show since her last performance in 2001.

It's been 25 years since legendary singer Toni Braxton won her first American Music Award, and that was the first time she performed at the ceremony as well. Now 25 years later she makes a comeback with her nostalgic famed hits 'Unbreak My Heart' and 'Breathe Again'. 

Tonight's performance by Toni at the 2019 AMAs, marks her return to the award show since her last performance in 2001. 'Unbreak My Heart' was released 23 years ago, and to see the legendary singer perform it once again fans couldn't contain their excitement and love for Toni.

Toni looked absolutely stunning her sheer white lace gown, she gave an impeccable performance that almost seemed like she never left the AMA stage. Toni to date has been nominated for 11 AMAs and has won for seven of them. Toni is currently on her As Long As I Live Tour which she announced that she would be bringing overseas as well. 

Taking to Twitter post the episode fans share that she and her voice hasn't aged a bit. Apart from that they rave about her return performance calling it legendary. "R&B Royality @tonibraxton gave me all kinds of feels, chills, and emotions with her stellar/worthy performance at the #AMAs tonight. That silky voice sounded smoother than a butter. she just brought grace and elegance to the stage! I’m WEEPING!" a fan wrote. 

"@tonibraxton you are EVERYDAMNTHANG!!!! A True BLESSING to the Music industry and the WORLD!!! Felt like a glimpse of HEAVEN(despite the sad song lol) #AMAs," added a fan. While another shared, "What a breathtaking, stunning performance of Unbreak My Heart by the incomparable @tonibraxton !!!! Living legend indeed!! #AMAs."

"Bruh, how does Toni Braxton get to look the same as she did back in ‘95 and I’m over here slowly disintegrating. #AMAs," wrote a fan. Adding to that another said, "@tonibraxton done brought the house down! End the award show right now because that was a closing performance. #AMAs."
