After the big revelation about Corey's cancer threat in Episode 6, the next episode titled 'Coming Home' might point towards the family's efforts in bringing him back to his home with his family. As reality hits Spencer and Darnell, they are taken aback. Spencer then realizes how his father was teaching him "the game of life" while talking about football.

The summary of the episode reads: "With Spencer (Daniel Ezra), Grace (Karimah Westbrook), Dillon (Jalyn Hall) and Darnell (guest star Abraham D Juste) reeling from the news about why Corey (guest star Chad Coleman) may have left, they set out on a mission to find him. After locating Corey and trying to convince him to go home with them, the weekend turns out to be just what everyone needed."

"In an effort to keep fighting for the family to be whole again, Billy (Taye Diggs) arranges for the family to meet with a family therapist and possibly help decide on the next step for them. During the session, the therapist gives Jordan (Michael Evans Behling) and Olivia (Samantha Logan) a separate assignment, which helps them learn more about each other than either knew."

In a 20-second promo released by the makers, a surprised Corey sees his family at his home. "What are you all doing here," he yells at them. Firm and resolute, Grace answers back, "We came to take you home." Spencer is furious and tells his dad, "I am angry that you are dying and there ain't nothing I can do about it." Corey then confesses that he is "scared." The family spends a loving time together on the weekend. Later, during a deep conversation with his mum, Spencer tells her, "I can't lose him."

One viewer wrote, "I just know that they will end up taking Darnell to live with them so he won’t be alone with all this happening by himself," and another one posted, "This is so sad I'm not sure if I'm ready to watch it good to see his family come and get him to take him home and Darnell right there."

Directed by Benny Boom and written by Nkechi Okoro Carroll & Lorna Osunsanmi, Episode 7 will air on Monday, November 25 on The CW.
