For many of us, alien life is but a certainty. It cannot be possible that in the millions and millions of solar systems that Earth is the only one that bears life. And so, it is up to our imaginations to wonder whether there is life beyond. Many classic movies and literature have been born out of that imagination. 'Alien', 'Star Trek, 'Stars Wars' and so much more have stoked our imaginations but they all tend to be a bit on the fantastical side.

Netflix's upcoming CG-operated docuseries, 'Alien Worlds' is set to stoke the imagination a bit more. Applying the laws of life on Earth to the rest of the galaxy, this series blends science facts and fiction to imagine alien life on other planets. Details on the docuseries are sparse, but from what we know, the series is poised to be an exciting watch. Read on to know more about 'Alien Worlds'.

Release date

All four episodes of 'Alien Worlds' will be available to stream on Netflix on Wednesday, December 2, at 12 am PST.

Plot

The official synopsis for the docuseries states:

In the last two decades, astronomers have discovered thousands of planets outside our solar system; they believe there are trillions more. If life exists on only a fraction of them, then the cosmos must be teeming with alien species. But what do those aliens look like? How do they feed, reproduce, and evolve?

By applying the laws of life on Earth to the rest of the universe, it is possible to imagine what lives beyond -- on 'Alien Worlds'.

Producers

There is no information currently available for producers of 'Alien Worlds'. This section will be updated once the details are made available.

Trailer

The voiceover in the trailer for 'Alien Worlds' says, "Astronomers think it's only a matter of time before some alien life forms are discovered. By applying the laws of life on Earth, it's possible to imagine what could live on alien worlds. How might life adapt to a different world? Perhaps there's an alien civilization already headed for Earth. What sort of alien life might exist in the vastness of space?"
