'AGT' Season 18: Who buzzed Trailer Flowers? Confusing move by judges leaves viewers enraged

Heidi Klum's buzzer went off during the performance of Trailer Flowers' original song, but she was given the opportunity to clarify

PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: Heidi Klum's buzzer went off during Trailer Flowers' performance of their original song.

The riddle of the confused buzzer was quickly solved when the 'America's Got Talent' judge got an opportunity to clear the air, but many were still upset. 

It took the simultaneous move to Nashville for the two former strangers from Trailer Flowers to meet and form a semi-final country combo.

Although they were satisfied with their original song in the first round, Howie Mandel wasn't a big fan of theirs, so they prepared another original song for their second performance.

Heidi's red X buzzer lighted up halfway through the performance, however, it was later revealed that Howie, not Heidi, hit her buzzer.

However, Heidi remarked that they did sound a little pitchy in the song. Sofia Vergara felt they sounded fine, but she didn't like the music or the outfits.

Simon Cowell agreed that the song was weak and that if it had been an audition, he would have requested them to perform another song.

Seeing Howie press Heidi's buzzer, fans took to X, to call out the comedian's hypocrisy following last week's drama, "So it was Howie. Anyway so Howie's a hypocrite about the buzzer thing in the live shows."

Another person chimed in, "This far into the competition, there shouldn't be buzzers or judges. I mean, I muted them on my TV, but let them do their thing."

One quipped, "Uh oh, @howiemandel was caught red buzzer-handed." One user also advised, "Simon I think that anybody that make the second round should not be buzzed the buzzers should be turned off after the first round because you do not vote after the first round."

Others called out to Howie, "LOL Howie I don’t agree with everyone it was great! You % pushed Heidi’s buzzer though!" Some viewers said, "No matter what is going on, the Buzzer should be turned off."
