Critic to cheerleader: 'AGT' judge Simon Cowell shows questionable judgement as he promotes 'karaoke-like' act
PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: 'America's Got Talent' Season 19 judge Simon Cowell has been known for criticizing the performers even for their slightest mistakes. However, the NBC show judge seemed to give sympathetic feedback to one of the contestants during the live show.
'AGT' star Richard Goodall performed Michael Bolton's 'How Am I Supposed to Live Without You' as a tribute to his fiancé, Angie, who recently had a heart attack. Although Richard's performance was good enough to advance to the next round, it was not worthy to win the competition. The performance was more like watching a karaoke and not a semi-final.
Simon claimed that Richard's performance was worth a million dollars and that he could win the show. He called Goodall "one of the most memorable contestants we've had for a long, long time." He added, "If you make it through, you really do have a shot (at) winning this whole competition."
