'America's Got Talent': Ellie Kemper pushes her Golden Buzzer for Light Balance Kids and fans love her choice

The apple doesn't fall too far away from the tree and the Light Balance Kids are a perfect example of that. The protege of Light Balance who appeared in season 12 of AGT, Light Balance Kids, competed against the other acts for a spot in the live shows.

When 'America's Got Talent' season 14 aired with the third round of Judge Cuts on Tuesday night, the Light Balance Kids' act was the highlight of the entire episode.

The apple doesn't fall too far away from the tree, and the Light Balance Kids are a perfect example of that. The protege of Light Balance who appeared in season 12 of AGT, Light Balance Kids, competed against the other acts for a spot in the live shows. The older group, Light Balance won a Golden Buzzer from former host Tyra Banks and came in third during season 12 of America's Got Talent. The group also competed on 'America's Got Talent: The Champions' that took place earlier this year.

Wanting to follow in the footsteps of Light Balance, a group member from the current act revealed they had big dreams. The group that is made up of children from ages of 11-13 also stated that they were feeling extra pressure because they wanted to perform as good as the original group did or maybe even better than they did. They had stunned everyone during the auditions and were hoping to get a spot in the live shows. Their performance was a basketball-themed dance routine that was combined with mixed lighting, programming, and coding.

Their outstanding routine also included a slam dunk that happened in slow-motion. This move made the judges especially Howie Mandel to yell in his seat. Their performance left both the judges and audience wanting more and wishing it was never over.  After their act, Mandel said, "I was a fan of Light Balance, the adults. I like Light Balance Kids better. I would go pay to see this in Vegas; I would see this at a live concert."

Ellie Kemper, who was a guest judge for this week's competition, was spellbound after their performance and said, "I thought this was the definition of a spectacle. It was truly spectacular; it was marvelous. I just wish there were some guarantee to get you guys through to the live show."

"Oh wait, there is," she quipped before she pressed the Golden Buzzer sending the group directly to the live shows. Pulling an 'Office' moment, the alum said, "I'm new here." The kids were overjoyed with the Golden Buzzer, as no one expected it. But it was truly well deserved. After watching their performance, fans of the series took to social media and shared how they think Kemper did well by pushing her Golden Buzzer for them.

" I absolutely love Light Balance Kids. So glad they’re the Golden Buzzer tonight. #AGT #judgecuts," wrote a fan on Twitter. Adding to that another fan said, "Ellie Kemper was smart - Best Golden Buzzer choice! You go, Light Balance Kids! #AGT."

"Screaming because Ellie Kemper hit the golden buzzer for light balance kids! I didn’t know I could love her any more than I previously did!!! #AGT@LightBalance_
those kids are incredible!!" wrote a fan.

While another said, "Light Balance Kids - A+ Light Balance was my favorite act in Season 12, and this is all the inventiveness and talent of Light Balance, just with smaller costumes. Another excellent performance gave them the one of the most deserved Golden Buzzers this season."

We can't wait to see how they perform in the live shows.
