This transformation is marked by Hardin as he writes his second book and heads over to Landon and Nora's wedding, where Hardin and Tessa cross paths for the first time in 'After Everything.'

The wedding takes place towards the end of the movie, revealing that all Hardin and Tessa truly only needed were a few moments together to recognize their desire to be together, and forever.
