'Adventure Time: Distant Lands': HBO Max animated series an instant hit as viewers laud its 'pretty visuals'
'Adventure time: Distant Lands BMO' premiered to positive reactions on HBO Max on Thursday, June 25, as the animated series, one of the most anticipated since the debut of the streaming series, was received warmly by the audience. The first episode is BMO-centric, as the cute little robot finds itself thrown to the farthest end of the galaxy after a deadly space emergency. It lands in a rather battered alien world, that is on the verge of extinction soon. And soon, Twitter was flooded with favorable reactions from fans. "Just finished watching Adventure Time Distant Lands: BMO It was amazing!!!! I can't wait for the next three episodes!" wrote one of the fans. "I would just like to make it clear that there is a planet halfway filled with bunny people that exist in the adventure time universe. and I think that is beautiful," seconded another.
"God the visuals were so fockin pretty......" opined another fan. "Just finished the premiere of Distant Lands...I feel like they’re playing w my emotions @ the end of the episode also I think we all know who Mr. M is, the bummy-ness shows through and through" said another. "Someone is probably gonna make a MEGA to the first episode of Adventure Time: Distant Lands," remarked a fan. "I love that Adventure Time referenced my favorite Cartoon Network show, Rumble Jaw," exclaimed a fan. "The way y5 just up and decided to change her name to y5 and stand up for herself when her parents called her otherwise...trans symbolism methinks," read a fan tweet. "Out of words, and can't wait for the new episode to drop," a fan wrote. The next few episodes deal with Marceline, Princess Bubblegum and Peppermint Butler. It will be exciting to see what each of these characters have been up to since we last saw them.
The fantasy animated TV series is created by Pendleton Ward, who also helmed the 2020 adult animated Netflix series 'Midnight Gospel'. He had made the cartoon show for Cartoon Network Studios in 2010 and after a total of 10 seasons, they ended the adventures of main characters Finn (voiced by Jeremy Shada) and his best friend Jake (John DiMaggio), a dog with the magical power to change size and shape at will.
