ABC's 'Modern Family' is using its last few episodes to introduce some major developments and twists in the lives of the long-loved characters.

In the latest episode, as the title 'Baby Steps' suggests, Mitch and Cam after going back and forth with their decision to welcome new addition to their family, agree to adopt a baby boy.

On watching the latest episode, super excited fans of ‘Modern Family’ took to social media as to celebrate. One fan wrote, "OMG!! Mitch and Cam are having a baby boy! Waiting to see new Modern Family member."

And, with only two more episodes left until the season finale, fans are asking if Mitch and Cam could get a spinoff. "Okay okay okay if Mitch & Cam get a spin-off, can the nanny they hire be THE Nanny @frandrescher ??? #ModernFamily," said one fan.

Another added, "Okay okay okay if Mitch & Cam get a spin-off, can the nanny they hire be THE Nanny @frandrescher ??? #ModernFamily."

A new addition to the Pritchett-Tucker family has drawn a lot of attention owing to Lily's treatment of her siblings. However, in the previous episode, her reaction to the adoption news has left fans in splits.

One fan noted, "Baby Steps #TVTime. That was the best/funniest reaction/line @aubreyandersone ever delivered! I couldn't stop laughing, pulse spiked and couldn't breathe! Had to pause it! Hysterical!"

As the count down for the last ever episode of 'Modern Family' has begun, viewers aren’t able to contain their emotions. While a few are yet to process the actuality, the rest are simply refusing to accept that ‘Modern Family’ will not be entertaining them anymore.

"It hasn’t really hit me yet that there are two episodes left after this," expressed one fan. Another added, "I can’t believe I just watched one of the last episodes ever of #ModernFamily such an underrated, hilarious show and I wish it could go on forever."

Meanwhile, the rest of the viewers are thanking the show for keeping them entertained amid the novel coronavirus. "These last two hilarious hours have been pretty much my distraction from the craziness going on outside of my house right now."

'Modern Family' Season 11 airs on Wednesdays on ABC.
