'90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way': Corey pours his heart out as he proposes to Evelin on a hot air balloon
Corey Rathgeber and Evelin Villegas have had their ups and downs throughout the season of '90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way' but it seems like it all played out in their favor. Ever since Corey first met Evelin he knew that he wanted to marry her. However, it wasn't the same for Evelin. Time and again Evelin had mentioned that even though she loves Corey, she did not want to be married. But the latest episode of the show has had us believe that Evelin changed her mind after watching efforts that Corey put into for a proposal.
From the start, if there is one thing that has been clear about their relationship it is that Corey is a romantic person. So, it does not come as a surprise that he went all out for the big proposal. Corey admitted that the pair has their differences but at the moment he "really felt closer than ever" to Evelin and wanted to take this opportunity to pop the question.
At the same time, Corey noted that he needed to rush their marriage because his visa was coming to an end and he had to get married if he wanted to stay longer. But despite this, Corey decided to stick to the traditional roots and visited Evelin's parents first to ask their daughter's hand in marriage.
While Evelin's dad was sure about Corey, he was skeptical about Evelin as he was aware that his daughter had mentioned countless times that she did not want to get married. Regardless, he went on to give Corey his blessings. To make the proposal a magical moment, Corey decided to propose to Evelin in Spanish while taking her on a hot air balloon ride.
Corey's plan almost failed when Evelin noted that she wasn't keen on riding a hot air balloon. Fortunately, Evelin decided to hop on the ride and enjoy the moment. After the pair got off the hot air balloon, Corey took Evelin to the sign which asked if she would marry him. Since Corey was aware that Evelin showed her disinterest to get married previously, he assured her that he would be fine even if she rejected the proposal.
However, Evelin was more than happy to say yes. But the reality star noted that it was just engagement and there was still time for the wedding. Fans were left surprised when Evelin decided to say yes to the question. "Evelin straight-up admitted to saying yes... to the RING!!!" noted one fan, while another added, "So according to Evelin she basically said yes to wearing a ring."
