'90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After': Paul lashes out at Karine for meeting a lawyer, fans fear she's 'trapped'
Karine Martins came to the US with the hope of starting a new life, but things did not go as planned as Paul Staehle did not have a job, a house, or any means to provide for them. She hoped that Paul's mother would be there for them but was shocked to see that it wasn't the case.
Ever since Karine came to the US, her dreams of having a good life were shattered when Paul's mother informed them that they would be staying in a hotel instead of their home. Karine questioned Paul and his mother's relationship as she failed to see the love and care that she thought would be there. Despite this, she decided to give Paul a chance. Paul promised that he would be there for Karine and would plan a life that she deserves. Paul made her dream about a lifestyle where she does not have to work a lot and is treated like a princess and he also assured her that she and their son would be living a good life.
However, that did not turn out to be the case as Paul struggled to find a job due to his criminal background and failed to find a house that she would be satisfied in. After adjusting for a long time, Karine finally decided to take matters in her hand as she met with an immigration lawyer and asked if it would be possible for her to travel back to Brazil with her son.
The lawyer told her that she was free to travel but there were chances that things might get ugly between her and Paul. Hinting that it would be a good idea to leave in good terms, Karine decided to talk to Paul. She broke the news about meeting a lawyer and hinted that she wanted to go back.
I feel bad for Karine. All alone, trapped in that shed. No money, no friends or family. If Paul was a good husband, he would arrange a family visit for her, not threaten her. She's homesick. #90DayFianceHappilyEverAfter #90DayFiance pic.twitter.com/8LHIqN6TuQ

Hearing this, Paul was not happy. He lashed out at Karine for meeting a lawyer behind his back and making such a big decision. Seeing how things escalated, Karine broke down crying. Paul tried to calm her down and assured her that things would be fine soon. However, viewers were not convinced.
Karine was lied to. Paul told her he could take care of her and their son. She now knows its all a lie. Paul trapped her. Basically he kidnapped her. #90DayFiance #90DayFianceHappilyEverAfter
