'90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After': Does Asuelu's mother want him to divorce Kalani because of money?
Kalani Faagata and Asuelu Pulaa have been having problems in their relationship but the latest addition to that was his family. Asuelu's family has been keen on getting money from him and justified their actions by stating that it was in their culture for the children to help the family.
Unfortunately, Asuelu did not have enough money to give his family while taking care of his children. Despite this, he decided to give them $100. While he thought his mother Lesina would understand, he was shocked to find out that she wished to have more money while knowing that he couldn't afford it. After a lot of thinking, he decided to finally confront his mother and questioned her for suggesting that he and Kalani should get a divorce. His mother Lesina tried to explain that she wanted her son back. Lesina hinted that Asuelu was manipulated by Kalani and she hoped for things to change if he gets a divorce.
However, that did not go well with him. Asuelu was quick to dismiss the idea and made it clear that he loved Kalani. At the same time, he asked his mother to apologize to Kalani for her actions when the two met. Kalani arranged for her parents to meet Asuelu's parents in the hope that things would get better.
Asuelu's sister Tammy explained how it was his responsibility to take care of the family and give them money. During this conversation, Kalani's parents explained how they would not be able to give them any money as that would make it hard for them to take care of their children. While Lesina understood what she did was wrong, Tammy stayed strong and stuck to her opinion.
Tammy stated that she meant everything she had said previously and was not ready to apologize. However, Lesina decided to end things and mend her relationship with Kalani. While the two have managed to shake hands and leave the past behind, it does not look like Tammy is ready for the olive branch.
She made it clear that it will take more than a dinner to mend things between Kalani and her. Despite this, Kalani was happy that Lesina finally understood that they will not be giving any more money. Will this help Kalani and Asuelu to go back to where they were in the relationship?
