'7 Little Johnstons' Season 8 is currently on air. The entertaining family show featuring the world's largest known family of achondroplasic dwarfs consists of parents Amber and Trent, their two biological children — Jonah and Elizabeth — and three adopted children — Alex, Emma and Anna. The kids are aged between 14 and 20. The eldest is Jonah and his relationship is highlighted in the recent episode that aired on Tuesday (January 5) night.

Jonah has been dating his girlfriend Ashley for almost 10 months now. Jonah has taken a break from college and with the pandemic in play, the two have been working hard to maintain their long-distance relationship. There's a four-hour journey that the two have to navigate to get to each other and so far, things seem to be going smoothly between them. Ashley had driven all the way down to the Johnston family home in Forsyth to spend some time with Jonah as well as the family. Elizabeth's boyfriend Brice Bolden was at the family home and in last week's episode, the Johnstons were heard being poetic about how much they love him and how he feels like a part of their family.

However, they are yet to say the same about Jonah's girlfriend. Amber agreed to her being a positive presence in her son's life and noted that the otherwise "difficult" Jonah was more interactive and present with the rest of the family when Ashley was around.

Ashley is very subtle and judging by the episode she doesn't really talk much and keeps interaction with the rest of the family to a minimum. In a confessional, Ashley told the cameras that she and Jonah have discussed the next steps in their relationship, that is moving in together, but also added that it's too soon for something like that. Last week, Trent and Amber were heard saying that whenever Ashley is down at their house, she lives in the guest bedroom and not with Jonah. This doesn't mean they are prudes, but they believe that the kids need to ensure that their decisions are safe for themselves and that they're absolutely sure about each other. Tune in to the show to see the young couple's relationship unfold further.

'7 Little Johnstons' airs on Tuesdays at 8 pm ET on TLC.
