'59th ACM Awards 2024' viewers declare Post Malone 'belongs in country music' amid his 'amazing' debut
FRISCO, TEXAS: The 59th Academy of Country Music Awards was filled with stirring performances and Post Malone nailed the star-studded show. Malone has recently made his country music show debut as he performed live on the 2024 ACMs award stage from the Ford Center at The Star.
He delivered an electrifying performance of an old-school country classic that transitioned into his recently released country song, 'I Had Some Help', with Morgan Wallen. However, Wallen didn't join Malone on stage for the performance.
Malone looked dapper in a white Dallas Cowboys jersey while his band wore a bright blue version of the NFL uniform. The rapper received praise from the award show viewers. A social media user tweeted, "Nobody’s going to tell me Post Malone doesn’t belong in country music. That’s 70’s country right there and it was amazing!"
Another person added, "PostMalone Welcome to Country Music and please stay." Another critic noted, "I’m not sure where it will go from here. But Post Malone singing country music feels natural & easy. He’s doing us fellow Texans proud." Another X user penned, "Alright PostMalone belongs in Country Music!"
Another viewer wrote, "I’m gonna say it. And y’all can get all mad if you want to. But…PostMalone is one of the most “country” things on this show. That sho was a whole lot of steel guitar." Another follower stated, "Post Malone was made for country music."

Post Malone joins Reba McEntire for a special 2024 ACM Awards duet
Post Malone stunned the 2024 ACM Awards audience with a surprise performance with host Reba McEntire. After Malone's debut performance, McEntire affectionately called her buddy "Posty" after forming a friendship with Malone at the Super Bowl earlier this year. She then asked if they could sing a song together.
Malone agreed and performed an acapella version of The Allman Brothers Band's 'Ramblin' Man' with McEntire. The duo honored Allman Brothers' Dickey Betts, who died in April at age 80, with their special duet. Malone later spoke backstage with Bobby Bones and admitted that he was nervous during the performance. He joked, "My bootyhole was clenched the entire performance."
Did Post Malone receive any nomination at the 2024 ACM Awards?
Rapper Post Malone didn't receive any nomination at the 2024 ACM Awards as he has recently made his debut in the Country genre. Malone has recently made a country song debut with Morgan Wallen. The duo released 'I Had Some Help'.
However, Malone's duet partner boasted the second-most nominations at this year's country music award ceremony. Wallen notably notched six bids, including entertainer of the year.
