'1000-lb Sisters': Amy and Tammy argue about looks while consulting Dr. Procter for weight loss surgery
Tammy Slaton weighs 608lbs and Amy Slaton weighs 400lbs and their weight is taking over their life.
The Slaton sisters know that it is time for them to face reality and make a big change in their lifestyle. To make sure that they are headed in the right direction the Slaton sisters decided to visit Dr. Charles Procter.
Once the sisters arrive at the location, he is quick to find out that there is tension between the two. When he asked Tammy why she wanted to lose weight she was quick to answer that she wanted a better life. Meanwhile, when the same question was asked to Amy she revealed that she wanted to lose weight to have a child while also mentioning that she did not want to look like Tammy.
Tammy was not happy to hear this and asked what was wrong with her. It is then Amy asked her to look at herself and then ask that question. Dr. Procter could see how the sisters constantly argued about who is more unhealthy and did not seem impressed because in his eyes both of them needed to get surgery done.
But this was not the first time that the sisters had argued about their respective weight. Previously, Tammy had mentioned that she would love to be of Amy's weight because she thought people thought of her as a freak. Amy was quick to dismiss these claims and added that she is no different.
However, Tammy felt like Amy did not understand the situation she was in because she weighed less than her and was in a better state. While the sisters have times when the tension between them rises, Dr. Procter worries how it will affect their weight loss journey as he believes it could be a double-edged sword.
