'1000-lb Sisters': Tammy feels like a freak show as she wishes she looked more like Amy
Weighing more than 600lbs Tammy Slaton has tried to stay indoors and away from the eyes of the people for a long time. However, now that she along with her sister, Amy Slaton, has taken up the challenge of losing weight she is being forced to step out of her comfort zone. The sisters decide to head to Atlanta to meet the doctor to ask if they would be approved for bariatric surgery.
However, before that, the sisters decide to make a stop at a buffet. Both of them are excited by the idea since it will allow them to eat how much they want. But one thing that Tammy wasn't prepared for was the looks people were giving her.
Tammy confessed that she felt uncomfortable people were staring at her and stated that she felt like a "freak show".
Amy tried to make her feel better by stating that she felt the same as people looked at her in the same way. However, Tammy added that things were worse for her as she was a much bigger size than Amy. Tammy confessed that she would love to be in Amy's place if she had a chance.
Meanwhile, Amy thought that Tammy was not understanding that things are no different for her. Tammy had left the house after six years only to meet their mother before this buffet incident. Tammy and Amy wanted to tell their mother that they are ready to lose weight and make a big change in their life.
Even then, Tammy was conscious about what people thought about her. She did not feel good about people constantly looking at her with judgemental eyes. While the sisters found it hard to understand the feelings that the other was going through they knew one thing and that was the goal of losing weight.
The next day, Amy and Tammy started afresh as they felt they were getting closer to their goal of losing weight.
