Who is Tina Arnold?

Tina Arnold is an author and a reality TV star on TLC' upcoming '1000-lb Best Friends'. As per Good Reads, she's authored 9 books, including 'Sweet Lantern', which is a part of her 'Lantern Series'. Seeing that '1000-lb Best Friends' revolves around friendship and healthy life choices, Tina currently weighs 300lbs and hopes to live a healthier life for her family. "I want to be able to not only be here longer for my family but to be able to see my kids' kids," Tina said, while talking to People magazine. "My youngest is eight years old, and I've sat so much of his life out on the sideline, not able to run around and play with him. His energy level is through the roof all the time and I can't match that at any level, and I want to be able to." she added.

Meghan Crumpler and Tina go a long way back, seeing that the two have been friends since they were teens. Tina often jokes about how Meghan used to take her to her cosmetology school to practice dying hair. Tina even reminisced how Meghan had a major impact on her life in a nostalgic Facebook post. She wrote -- "Meghan how old would you say we were here? 17 and 14? I think that's about right. We may have been 16 and 13, I'm not sure. Wow, how time flies. I still remember taking this photo, like we just took it. I think my brother took it, he was either still living at home or he was home on leave, but I'm pretty positive he's the one behind the camera. You can see here just how much we've always loved each other." she wrote. She even added that Meghan was the one who helped her with fashion and more. "I'm still wearing a dude's shirt here. Was still getting clothes from the men's section or taking hand me downs from my brother and others. Meghan's the one that got me into wearing women's clothing. She also got me to wear makeup and start fixing my hair. " she added.

As reported by People, Tina and Meghan actually live together, seeing that Meghan lives in the home's basement apartment where Tina and her family stay.

Is Tina married?

Tina is married to Johnnie Arnold. The couple recently celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary and also have four children together, out of which Meghan is the godmother to one of her children. Johnnie also serves as the producer of the group's upcoming podcast.

There has certainly been a lot of hype by the show's cast, but they've also gotten their fair share of hate from bodyshamers. Tina took to her Instagram to address the same and call out people who have been saying rude things online.  The caption of her post reads -- "Meghan sent me down the rabbit hole that is YouTube tonight and I saw a few reviews of our show trailer. Some were just out there and some were funny, while others were ignorant and crass. It's funny (not haha) how some people think so low of themselves that their only way up is on the backs of others. I can (and will) lose this fat, you can't get rid of that vapid personality." she said. "Watch out world, you haven't seen anything like us before. You think you know… but you don't know. 😉🥰" she added.

'1000-lb Best Friends' premieres on TLC and discovery+ on Monday, February 7 at 10pm ET/PT.
