Who is Meghan Crumpler?

When Meghan and Vannessa were introduced to fans on TLC's 'Too Large', they were on a weight loss journey together. Since middle school, Meghan and Vannessa have been friends and have both faced bullying due to their weight. For Meghan, were weight issues began at the age of 16. It later got worse when she entered an abusive marriage, to the point where she needed to be administered oxygen.

However, the turning point in Meghan's life came when her father, David, who was in hospice, encouraged his daughter to get healthier. She made a promise to him that she would drop the weight and after his death, she was more determined than ever. When Meghan met with Dr. Charles Procter, she weighed 496lbs. Although it was an uphill task, Meghan was absolutely determined to get down to a weight category that made her eligible for surgery. Having encouraged Vannessa to join her, Meghan had more luck than her best friend and even managed to get surgery. Post her surgery, she lost over 160 lbs and has continued to put in the time and effort to lose more weight.

Besides this, Meghan is also engaged to her longtime partner, Jon. The two met online over ten years ago, when Meghan was 35, and Jon was 25. She even shared a photo a while back, captioned -- "#couplegoals #Toolarge #selflove #cougar #agegap #MeghanCrumpler_toolarge This is the week that I met Jon for the first time when he came from California to meet me. Era 2013. I was 35 and he was 25."
The pair got engaged early last year -- looks like fans can expect wedding bells eventually!

'1000-lb Best Friends' premieres on TLC and discovery+ on Monday, February 7 at 10 pm ET/PT.
