'Young Sheldon' Season 4 Episode 3: Sheldon sings 'Soft Kitty' to himself, nostalgic 'TBBT' fans say 'so cute'

In the latest episode of 'Young Sheldon', Sheldon's attempts at riding a bike go awry, and due to his chicken flying rogue, he crashes

For the fans of 'The Big Bang Theory', they would remember that Sheldon Cooper's (Jim Parsons) comfort song was 'Soft Kitty'. Whenever he would get sick, he would say that his mother used to sing it to him as a child. Once, even Penny (Kaley Cuoco) sang it to him. In the latest episode of 'Young Sheldon', Sheldon's attempts at riding a bike go awry, and due to his chicken flying rogue, he crashes. For the next few weeks, he has to wear a cast, which the whole family signs on. At the end of the episode, he sings 'Soft Kitty' to himself, and that serves as some nostalgia for the TBBT fans.

"Ah soft Kitty I’ve missed that #YoungSheldon," a fan tweeted.

"I’m enjoying tonight’s new #YoungSheldon episode while I’m feeling under the weather. I think I’ll sing #SoftKitty tonight before I go to sleep to rest my headache. Great episode gang! @YoungSheldon," another fan wrote.

"Ah, Soft Kitty! I missed hearing you! @YoungSheldon#YoungSheldon #TrainingWheelsAndAnUnleashedChicken," a fan wrote.

"Omg sheldon singing soft kitty to himself so cute #youngsheldon@YoungSheldon," another tweeted.

We expect to see more references to the mothership series soon. The season's premiere had a surprise revelation: Sheldon in his narration reveals that he and Amy named their child Leonard Cooper, which was a treat to fans. Leonard was Sheldon's roommate for around a decade and had put up with a lot from the genius. He adhered to his bathroom schedules, his finicky attitude about eating, furniture.

This was all listed in the "roommate" agreement, which the two continuously fought over. Leonard's girlfriend and later wife, Penny, became Sheldon's close friend, and was probably one of the few people who understood him. Cuoco has made an appearance in the show, with her voice. Later, we got to hear Mayim Bialik, who plays Amy as well. The series has several Easter eggs from the original series, and fans are always looking out for that. However, there are several continuity problems to the original series, as for starters, why is Sheldon's father so different in the spinoff, as to how he is remembered in 'The Big Bang Theory'?
