Spoilers for 'Yellowstone' Season 3 Episode 10 'The World is Purple'

The Season 3 finale of 'Yellowstone' has left its audience in shock. 'The World is Purple' ended on a cliffhanger that not only surprised fans but sent shock waves across the entire fandom leaving its loyal viewership in a state of anxiety, confusion and guesswork.

One of the main complaints that the audience had was that the episode ran really slow till the final five minutes when everything blew up (and quite literally at that).

Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) was sent a bomb in her office, Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) was attacked by gunmen at his office and finally, John Dutton (Kevin Costner) was shot multiple times in the chest and lay gravely injured at the side on the road. Each one of them is injured or dead, we don't know yet. And answers to the major questions about who survives the coordinated attacks and who exactly from all of Duttons' adversaries was behind it remain a secret until next season.

But there's something that happened in the finale episode that gave viewers the creeps and is freaking people out.

Midway through the episode, Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) goes to visit his long-dead mother at the graveyard. You might think it's only because he's seeking blessings from a guardian ahead of their big wedding.

Then he proceeds to do something very weird. He digs out the grave and removes the ring from her wedding ring finger intending to pass it along to Beth. That's a real messy decision especially since Rip's parents weren't the ideal couple. It was after Rip kills his father that John Dutton takes him in. It is then a curious choice that he would want Beth to wear the wedding ring. But who cares? Their romance and idiosyncrasies aside, fans of the show are completely freaked out by Rip's decision.

"Was anybody else screaming 'Put it back' when Rip took the ring off his Mother's finger? What the hell is Beth going to do when she finds out she is wearing a ring off a dead woman's finger? If Beth survives, that is," a fan had taken to Reddit to convey his grievance.

"Was not prepared for Rip to go to his moms grave for her ring. Did not see that coming," another viewer added. "Me either. That made me... uncomfortable," a viewer concurred.

But while viewers were all shades of uncomfortable, some think that Beth would in fact have liked it. "Beth is a special kind a weird so I feel like she'll love the ring Rip just dug up for her," a viewer commented. Rip and Beth both are their own kinds of weird and it wouldn't have had come as a surprise had Rip presented it to Beth — in all likelihood, she might have appreciated it.

But that doesn't matter, for even though Rip is a beloved and one of the most favorite characters but he's now also the weirdest. "Ok RIP is officially a weirdo," concluded a fan.

'Yellowstone' Season 4 is still a long time away. Until then, it is all a game of waiting.
