Early on in the first episode of Season 3 of 'Yellowstone', Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) meets a trespasser on her land. Well, not technically her land, but in the river. The two share a seemingly harmless conversation about getting out of her property and that's all to it.

What Beth doesn't know yet is that this man is soon going to prove detrimental to the Duttons.

Josh Holloway plays the role of Roarke Morris, a villainous "hedge fund baller" who has ambitious plans for his land around the Dutton ranch. This is, without a doubt going to be a matter of concern for those at Yellowstone.

The handsome and charming Holloway may sound dreamy, but when has 'Yellowstone' ever indulged us in dreamy? In a preview released by the network, Reilly, interestingly describes Roarke as "Dan Jenkins times a million", so we have some idea of just who and what he really is.

There also seems to be some sparks flying between Beth and Roarke. In a video released by the network, Holloway spoke about how the characters first meet on the show. "This woman yelling at him from the bridge and then climbing a fence, he thinks, 'Wow, cutie!'" But that is not going to go well. "We're swimming with the sharks now."

The much-anticipated return of the series brings back the constant struggle of the Duttons when it comes to protecting their land from outsiders and sometimes from the actions of the insiders. John Dutton's largest contiguous ranch in the United States continues to remain under threat from those who wish to lay claim to it. In Season 3, it looks like Roarke and John will take it up a notch as the rest of the Dutton family stands strongly behind the latter. Hopefully, Jaime (Wes Bentley) doesn't do more harm than good this time around.

Before he took up the recurring role in the American drama TV series, Holloway admitted to being a fan of the Taylor Sheridan show. The two are also friends outside of their project.
Newcomers in the show also include Eden Brolin, Hassie Harrison and Jennifer Landon, apart from the returning cast of favourites Reilly, Bentley, Luke Grimes, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Gil Birmingham, Denim Richards, Forrie Smith, Brecken Merrill and Jefferson White.
