LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'X-Men '97' dropped Episode 4 on Disney+ on Wednesday, April 3, keeping up its streak of engaging superhero narratives.

Following the events of Episode 3, viewers learned that the Jean Grey accompanying the X-Men was actually a clone engineered by Mister Sinister. With the real Jean's return, the clone departed from the team. Additionally, Episode 3 concluded with Storm encountering a new character named Forge.

In 'X-Men '97' Episode 4, Jubilee and Roberto find themselves trapped inside 'Motendo', a video game created by the highly intelligent interdimensional alien known as Mojo.

As they navigate through challenging levels and engage in intense battles, they unexpectedly confront Magneto, the master of magnetism, who poses a significant threat to their survival.

However, just when things seem threatening, a mysterious new character intervenes to aid them. Who is this individual, and how will they assist Jubilee and Roberto in escaping from Motendo?

As Magneto readies his final strike, Jubilee and Roberto are suddenly transported to a new level. Over here, they encounter Abscissa, who shockingly reveals herself as an older version of Jubilee with grey hair, wrinkles, and advanced abilities.

Abscissa explains that she hacked into the video game servers to buy them time by transporting them to the broadcasting servers. Despite Jubilee's confusion, Abscissa clarifies that each X-Men had their own characters designed for the game's beta testing, allowing for analysis of their actions.

Abscissa, a digital version of Jubilee, has mastered the game's mechanics, enabling her to hack and manipulate levels. With both Jubilees teaming up, they ultimately defeat Mojo, the final boss of the video game.

Will Abscissa return in the following 'X-Men '97' Episodes?

The origins of Abscissa in the 'X-Men' comics are slightly different from what we saw in 'X-Men '97', which is acceptable considering a few changes only made the narrative more interesting to the audiences.

In the 'X-Men' comics, Abscissa originates from an alternate future where she becomes Mojo's servant to prevent interference with the universal cycle. Eventually, Mojo sends her back to the past.

In 'X-Men '97', however, she's portrayed as a Non-Playable Character (NPC) within the video game. If Jubilee and Roberto manage to escape the game, there might be a chance to free Abscissa too.

Given her connection to Mojo, Abscissa could reappear in future episodes involving him, as she's integral to storylines featuring him as the main villain. For now, she remains exclusively a character within the video game until further notice.

4 episodes of X-Men '97' are now streaming on Disney+
