Ever since the release of the trailer for 'Wonder Woman 1984', there have been enough fan theories surrounding the plot and Easter eggs of the Patty Jenkins sequel. One of the talking points from the trailer was the Invisible Jet. The trailer has a shot of Diana (Gal Gadot) and Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) that shows them in the cockpit of a jet, and this has led fans to speculate if this was the invisible jet from the comics.

The vehicle made its appearance in the 1942 comic when a young Diana built it in Themyscira. Still in the process of discovering her powers, one of which includes flight, Diana relied on the jet for transportation which seems to have some sort of cloaking technology or stealth mode like the helicarriers do in 'Avengers'.  There has been no reference to the jet in any of Wonder Woman's appearances in the DCEU, but the scene from the trailer strongly hints at the duo flying the plane in the fireworks scene.  As reported by Comicbook, Jenkins had plans for the invisible jet back when 'Wonder Woman' hit the screens in 2017.

"The invisible jet is very important and ultimately we have to have the invisible jet," Jenkins. “That’s a very big part of Wonder Woman. I brought in all of my [department heads] every week," Jenkins said of 1984 in an interview last year. "I would sit and hammer home... we have to be so careful that we don’t veer from one movie to another movie, first of all, and, second, that anywhere that she walks out in a Wonder Woman suit, it just doesn’t look ridiculous.”

'Wonder Woman 1984' stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva aka Cheetah, Pedro Pascal as Maxwell Lord and Natasha Rothwell. The film opens on June 5, 2020.
