Zac Efron and Darin Olien feature in Netflix's newest docu-series themed around the environment. Through this series, they try to highlight various initiatives undertaken by eco-warriors across various parts of the world like France, Puerto Rico, London, Iceland, Costa Rica, Peru and Sardinia to protect the resources naturally found in their environs. Season 1 comprised of eight episodes that run for an hour each and now the question is will 'Down to Earth with Zac Efron' return for a season two. Judging by the way that the audiences have received the show, it won't be a surprise if it does.

"Feel it's my duty to share that Zac Efron has a new travel show out 'Down to Earth with Zac Efron' where he explains plate tectonics. For all my fellow HSM generation geologists, this is exactly what we've been looking for. @ZacEfron" wrote a fan. Efron learns to bake rye bread using the volcanic activity happening below the ground in the first episode where he and Olien visit Iceland. This seems to have struck a chord with a viewer who wrote, "If you're not watching Down To Earth With@ZacEfron you're wrong. This show is teaching me so much! Bread making in Iceland is so interesting. Tune in! Thank you @netflix and @ZacEfron for this." Another fascinated fan wrote, "Down to Earth with@ZacEfron is fascinating! I happened upon it on @netflix and it brings back my #wanderlust".

Coming back to the show, Olien and Efron not only visit powerplants and tectonic plates and learn about how climate-activists help harness the resources their country has in abundance but they indulge in a lot of fun activities. All work and no play makes Zac a dull boy so they do everything they could in their capacity to keep that balance going. Efron has been open about his love for off the grid activities and this docu-series allows him to indulge. So that might explain the constant grin that doesn't leave Efron's visage during the entirety of series. The camaraderie between Olien and Efron is also something worth noting. All in all, the series was created with an aim to find and educate viewers about sustainable living options as well as solutions to very old problems and it delivers thoroughly on all counts.
