Will Becca Haley and Austin Reed reconcile their marriage? 'MAFS' Season 17 star tearfully claims of 'badly missing' her husband
DENVER, COLORADO: 'Married At First Sight' Season 17 couple Becca Haley and Austin Reed recently parted ways after saying 'yes' on decision day. Becca and Austin's post-decision day relationship continued for less than 24 hours. However, Becca now regrets her decision to end their relationship too quickly.
In the preview of the upcoming episode, Becca facetime Lifetime show expert, Pastor Cal and told him, "I'm still missing Austin really badly." Becca added, "Like, he really did the best that he could and I'm just, like, having second thoughts and feeling like I gave up too quick." However, things appeared to have changed and the couple might reconnect to give their marriage another shot.
Austin previously tried to contact Becca and wanted to reconcile their relationship but she was not interested at the time. Becca previously admitted in the confessional, "I love Austin as a person, as a human who’s walking this planet. I think he makes the world a better place." Becca further claimed, "But I just have to, like, know when, like I’m not it for him. And I feel like the responsibility is on me to see that."
Why did Becca Haley and Austin Reed split?
Becca Haley parted ways from Austin Reed after he was spotted hanging out with 'MAFS' Season 17 producer and lied about their outing. Becca was devastated after she found out about Austin's night out and told the cameras, "All I thought was Austin and I wanted was to be done with the cameras, to be done with production... [it’s] funny, he's so worried about optics."
However, the Lifetime show cast gathered for a post-decision day pizza party where Becca confronted Austin and asked, "Did you come into this experience for a friendship with a producer or a marriage with me?" Austin denied the accusation and claimed that he had run into the female producer at the bar while hanging out with a group of friends.
Becca made clear that she would not tolerate any lie and said, "You didn't run into them, Austin." Becca added, "I'm not a f****g dumb b***h." After Becca's furious confrontation, Austin finally admitted that he was with the producer but didn't want to hurt her.
Austin Reed slams Becca Haley for sabotaging his optics
'MAFS' Season 17 stars Becca Haley and Austin Reed were the only hopefuls to be a successful couple in the latest season. They started their marriage with a whirlwind romance but the different religious views soon ruin their relationship. Becca continuously told in front of the cameras that Austin had a different off-camera behaviour and dubbed him 'combative'.
However, Austin recently called out Becca for sabotaging his on-camera image. He said, "I just feel like it makes me look *****." A CCTV video recorded the couple's conversation where Austin claimed, "Those words matter. That's what people, millions of people, are gonna see about me."
'Married At First Sight' Season 17 airs on Wednesdays at 8 pm ET on Lifetime.
